Pornographic Blogs: Lots More Where Those Came From

Ms. Q was doing her usual research and sipping a very nice Australian Shiraz.
As you know, all research begins with a glass of red wine.
The wine is continuously sipped until the research is complete.
WARNING: this blog contains puns, double entendres and wine-induced ramblings.
Ms. Q does realize that the last is redundant.
pun: the usually humorous use of a word in such a way as to suggest two or more of its meanings or the meaning of another word similar in sound.
But, back to my current research. In my thirst for knowledge, I’ve been reading a variety of blogs to see what is out there.
In order to expose myself to blogs outside of my interests, I’ve been clicking on the “Blogs of Note” links from various blog hosting sites like Blogger and Yahoo 360.
I was sipping the cheap and tasty Devil’s Marbles Shiraz from the Limestone Coast of Australia.
I had no idea was at how apropo my beverage would be. The back label stated:
“…with bright berry aromas, a spicy mid-palate and a long satisfying finish. Devil’s Marbles makes any day a g’day.”
Yes indeedy.
Anyway, I was randomly clicking on blogs and ended up looking at images of brooding, beefy, artfully (read: the naughty bits were hidden) posed muscular men. They were naked but for the artfully (no naughty bits!) placed sporting equipment, bedding material, motorcycle, sand castle, pizza, tabby cat.
Huh.
I wasn’t quite sure what kind of blog it was. OK. I had some VAGUE IDEA, but everything was in Italian. The photos were very professional looking so I wasn’t sure if it was some, er, service or if it was selling the photos or what.
Sip. Click. Ponder. Click. Sip.
Devil’s Marbles indeed.
Double entendre: a word or expression capable of two interpretations with one usually risqué
I sipped for a while and well, the point of the blog stumped me, so I moved on.
I then came across a blog that I deemed pornographic.
Pornography: the depiction of erotic behavior (as in pictures or writing) intended to cause sexual excitement.
I am well aware that there are all sorts of legal discussion about what is pornography and freedom of speech and all that.
I am not going to get into the ins and outs of pornography.
I shouldn’t have been, but I was surprised to find a pornographic blog, especially in a well-known blog hosting site. I was under the delusion that such bloggers would go to, I dunno, a more obviously prurient site.
Prurient: marked by or arousing an immoderate or unwholesome interest or desire; especially : marked by, arousing, or appealing to sexual desire.
I was curious about the blogger, but she gave little information about herself other than she had just started writing it in October of this year. I can’t recall what part of the country she lived in. It wasn’t in my state and it wasn’t in the Midwest. I think she lived in the East.
NO, the blog did not include images.
It was all quite…inneresting.
“…spicy mid-palate and a long satisfying finish. Devil’s Marbles makes any day a g’day.”
Yep. Cheap and tasty.
Apropo.
Hi Ms. Q,
My prurient mind wants to comment on this subject, but my wallet says – get to work.
Sooo, I will post a more detailed comment at a later time.
Take care Ms. Q
Jeff
Hey, Jeff –
I look forward to reading your comments; I am sure they will be provocative and thought-provoking. Your wallet talks to you? Mine does as well. It is best to heed to its demands.
Regards,
Ms. Q

This blog rocks! I gotta say, that I read a lot of blogs on a daily basis and for the most part, people lack substance but, I just wanted to make a quick comment to say I’m glad I found your blog. Thanks,
A definite great read…
