Selling out? I agree with you, Ms Q. Not! Writing takes effort to convert a blank page into something interesting and creative. You deserve to have some compensation for your time, effort and creative output. Reminds me of a attorney friend who is always being asked advice "on the side." His advice is a product of education, experience and effort; he shouldn't just give it away. Sure, his advice is just "words" but there is effort and value behind those words. Ditto with your writing.

So, yes, be true to your own value and keep those Public Restroom blogs coming!

Hey, HMTKSteve: Gotta tell ya, it's not a fetish. IT"S GENETIC. Visiting every public bathroom just in case is one thing. Well, it's a female thing. TAKING PHOTOS of public restrooms, now THAT'S a fetish!

Your daughter is fine. ;-)

Hi, dietrologia - thanks for your thoughts from the reader point of view. Once I began researching (I loves my research) about blogging, I started to look at blogs in an entirely new way. Yes I love great writing but I'm also looking at layout, ad placement, etc. etc.

My guess is that when (positive thinking!) I make money from my blog, it will affect my writing. That is, I will be looking for more things to write to bring in more readers. Being rewarded would encourage me.

I've been having a lot of fun with not only the writing but with learning all the tools for blogging. Blogging is a great mix of technology and writing.

So far I've been lucky - I have a stockpile of topics I'd like to write about. Just not enough time!
