Sidebar Issues

Published by MsQ at 8:08 am under Blogging, General

Ms. Q has issues!

If you’re viewing this with Internet Explorer 6, the sidebar has dropped to the bottom of my posts. I seem to have invalid XHTML somewhere (more Pirate Moments). I hadn’t noticed because I use Foxfire. But for whatever reason, the WP “code” editor does not show up using Firefox so I started editing in IE. I dunno if it’s IE or what.

Anyway, everything looks fine in Foxfire. It may take me a while to figure out his issue as:

1) I gotta get ready for work

2) I have to work – day job still in place

3) I have to deal with lost luggage.

Bright side: It’s not snowing!

    It’s firefox not foxfire!

Are you using something that is too wide for your content area? you might need to set a minimum width in your style sheet.

Your problem is in this post . The barney pic is conflicting with your AdSense and pushing it too far out to the right.

HMTKSteve: whoops on the Foxfire! Thanks for the catch. Pre-coffee posting and my mind was on other things.

Thanks for the tip on Barney. I edited the post but still have the issue. I think I have another big photo somewhere or a really long URL somewhere. I’ve read in the MistyLook support that this can cause the dropped sidebar issue. I’ll look into the stylesheet as well.

Open up each post on it’s own and see if the sidebar drops. If it does you have likely found the offending post.
