When You Don’t Want To Be On the First (Search) Results Page
The oddest Google search strings find their way to QMusings.
Some make total sense: two speed toilet flush mechanism
Or anything toilet related: flushing, swirl action, Jumbo Toilet Rolls.
If you’re not sure why this makes sense, check out my list of Categories.
People who want to understand their parents find their way to my site as well.
Last night this search string caught my eye: women who kill their husbands
Uh…how did this string end up finding my site?
I ran it and my site showed up on the first page. Freaky!
I ran it later in the day and had moved to page 3 in the results. Phew!
The search pointed to my post: Are Women Asking Too Much From Their Husbands?
This appears ironic. It’s not.
Since we’re on the topic of husbands, I don’t have one.
I’ve seen myself referred to as “Mrs. Q” several times as Mr. Gary Lee’s Share the Power of Technorati Faves link train chugs on.
While it’s nice to be linked to, it’s kinda different to be thought of as “linked up”!
I was looking at a lot of the search strings that make their way to my site a couple days ago. I made one post about my experience working at abercrombie & fitch and I get a lot of people coming in from search strings such as “Abercrombie group interviews” etc. I haven’t had any weird ones yet though..
