There's nothing new to dream of. I'm not ready for another day, but the sun is slowly breaking through the night. There's a dream I used to have where I knew everything, I'm hoping to catch it before the stars fade. I wait to catch my moment, my time for swimming in bliss. I grab the sheets and pull them close but my blood stirs so I stay awake. Somewhere before this night ends I'll find it, that place where I know what to do and say, where I'm not afraid. Where it all flows in a clear, cool stream for me to wade. And I'll let the wave take me to a better place, where the water ends and the stars are as bright as the sun. I'll find her there, waiting, smiling, beautiful beyond words, We'll hold each other and kiss, never letting go, never thinking of the next day. I can’t sleep tonight.
