LOL… Is it really your anniversary?

  3. MsQon 05 Jul 2007 at 8:07 pm

ack: Well, it all depends on how you look at Life. Do you want to take the Blue Pill or the Red Pill?

Yep, I DO have some pop culture references (and “The Matrix” is one of my favorite movies).

UT: No, it’s not my blog’s anniversary! I began it on Sept 5th (easy to remember, it’s a friend’s birthday!)

I just posted that because I’ve gotten so many comments today! It’s been a lot of fun but it made me wonder what all you, Irisi, Ricardo and Jill are up to! ‘Course you could all be on your laptops using WiFi and managing to go about your day.

I mean, I’m on a computer all day for work. Dunno about everyone else!

haha, that’s a good laugh! For the future, I think being on the computer and online are going to be inevitable. School work is now being posted online, homework in college is done online, online quizes, and the list goes on!!

I think lately here mine’s a case of too *much* life, too little sleep…I hear the internet is actually a poor substitute for sleep…

now what were we saying about television’s addictive properties?!?!?!?

Both kids had a sleepover last night though (one left at 4:00 am, the other at 4:00 pm!!!!!), so we “vegged” this morning with a MOVIE on the DVD player on the TELEVISION!!! :-0 :-0 :-0 Thus, some extra computer time today…

The Matrix came out when I was married – I fought tooth & nail against seeing that thing. When that first flying or fighting or whatever scene came on I was like, “I can’t believe I’m TRAPPED in a theater!” Then I ended up liking it. :-)

Gregg: Yes, life is getting more plugged in than ever before. I mean, even my mom has DSL now. Dialup was just too slow and she was online more and more.

Jill: Being on the Internet can be very addicting, that is for sure. You gotta get some sleep. Sleep is goooood. You are getting sleeeeepppy….

  7. ackon 05 Jul 2007 at 11:28 pm

    Sleep is overrated. :-)

What if I want an orange pill? No blue pill. No red pill. No little blue pill. ;-) But and orange pill.

the matrix was great. the two sequels – marginal. visually spectacular, but not as ground breaking, and not as interesting storywise. and the solution seemed to be from the ST:TNG mold. (and the Wease snaps his fingers with 2 seconds left in the show, making things all better.)

ack: then there’s the “little purple pill” and I think there’s a very famous oddly-shaped “blue pill” neither one of which I’ve had any experience with, thank goodness.

Luckily, the only pills I take are supplements!

I haven idea what you’re referencing with respect to the ST:TNG mold.

Sleep is good. I miss it when I don’t get it.

    Missing a little myself tonight…

    LOL Ack!

And MsQ – Go look! I did the Rockin’ Girl Blogger I told you about! Actually, I did it like FIVE TIMES ’cause it’s four in the morning & I kept finding typos… ;-0

I’m usually blogging or reading other blogs from one of my many jobs. If not on a PC then I can do it from my phone.

Jill: thanks for the “Rockin’ Girl Blogger” award/tag! Wow! Ooch, now I have to find 5 female bloggers who haven’t already been tagged. “From prisons to mammograms” huh? What a write-up!

UT: “then I can do it from my phone.”

So far, I’m not as hooked in as that!

You have many jobs? Freelance/independent then?

  13. Ricardoon 06 Jul 2007 at 10:09 am

This can almost be as bad as watching too much TV ;-)

  14. Basteton 06 Jul 2007 at 9:45 pm

    Too funny!

  15. MsQon 06 Jul 2007 at 10:19 pm

Ricardo: I had to make a SERIOUS effort not to go all OCD and write something today! I mean, I actually do have a life….really.

    Bastet: Oooh…cool name!

  16. Urban Thoughton 07 Jul 2007 at 5:37 am

One freelance. The other two are for vacation money and benefits.

  17. Jillon 07 Jul 2007 at 8:41 am

See???? You can talk about prisons AND boobies all on the same blog! Told ya’ you were rockin’!!!!!!!! I didn’t think to leave Irisi for you to bestow/inflict… :-( It is kind of hard – I felt like I was leaving people out all over the place.

  18. MsQon 07 Jul 2007 at 11:47 am

UT: Benefits. Yeah, gotta have those. And vacations.

Jill: Thanks again! I dunno when I’ll have time to put together my own award post…

  19. Urban Thoughton 08 Jul 2007 at 8:11 am

Vacations are number one on my list. I love to get out of town, fast.
