In Divine Right Order

Before I start, I’ll say that I accept that BIG HUG sent by Speedcat!
Check out his wonderful comment (and where he offers the big hug). Of course Speedy is something like two-point-five times the weight of Ms. Q.
Due to the stress I lost some weight so am down to 95 pounds. I don’t even feel like drinking! That’s a sure sign of stress. Ms. Q not drinking wine? Sacrilege!
BBWGs (Big Bearded White Guys) who hug me tend to like to lift me off the ground. I am not sure what it is but BBWGs and BWG (Big White Guys) see me and they just want to pick me up.
Thank goodness they resist patting me on the head. I might be four-foot-ten-and-three-quarter-inches short but I am uh, tall for my size. Take me seriously!!
Which makes me think of that old joke, “If I told you had a muscular chest, would you hold it against me?”
Yes, this post is all over the place but Speedy is someone who just brings a BIG SMILE to my face.
[Deep centering breath]
I am doing well. I do feel a bit of anxiety but I really believe that “Everything is working in Divine Right Order” and that last time I was laid off, I ended up doing something I had never considered and that I really enjoyed. However, I have been coasting these past few years. By coasting I mean that I have not seriously challenged myself.
I am not sure how it is with everyone else but there is something inside of me, my Higher Self some might say, that has always, always pushed me to do more.
It may sound conceited or egotistical but I believe that I am capable of greatness. I believe that we all have this feeling, this sense that we have not even begun to use the creative forces within ourselves.
So what is greatness? For me, greatness is being a joyous expression of life. When I think of joyous I think of fearlessness. I’ve touched on the topic of fear many times. Each time I have overcome a fear I have brought more joy to my life. Who doesn’t want more joy? I certainly want more joy in my life.
I think that we are born into this world with the purpose of growing – reaching beyond what we think we can bear. It seems that growing involves facing fears and trusting. I’ve touched on how facing fears can expand our world. I was meditating the other day and I asked, “What must I know?” and the word, “Trust” came to mind.
Trust.
I must trust that all will be well.
I must trust all is working in Divine Right Order.
I must trust that what is happening in my life is for my highest good.
I must trust myself.
Speedy wrote about his experience at being laid off. It wasn’t fun and he had to reach inside and tap into that creative force within himself. Based on what I’ve read in his blog, he lives life joyously! I would guess that he lives life so joyously because he has fewer fears and more trust.
Christine wrote about her husband being laid off the day before Thanksgiving (5 years ago). It wasn’t easy but he ultimately ended up in a much better job where he is much happier.
I’ve gone through difficulties in the past and I have always ended up in a better place.
All will be well.
Thank you all for sharing your stories and for your support!
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
I think BWG’s have to pick up less tall people due to the fact that hunkering over that much is hard on our back … or … we’re afraid of losing our balance and tumbling onto the person and smashing them (which sucks all the affection right out of a hug).
By the way, I did the math, and this morning I weigh just over 2.5 times what you weigh.
delmer: “less tall people” hehehehe! Thanks for the explanation and I can see how picking me has my weight acting as a counter-balance of some sort.
You look like a PDBWG (Pretty Damn Big White Guy) in your photos – I recall the one of you in a balaclava like some well, oversized ninja. I was told that for every inch of height you can add 10 pounds? Not sure. You look quite fit (all that Mighty Schwinning) so what are you, six-foot-four??
2.5 times my weight is 237.2 pounds. Speedy isn’t actually 2.5 times my weight. He’s almost 2.5 times if I recall. I think even post-T-day he was 230 pounds of Bearded Goodness.
Hey! That looks just like me
It is so great to see your attitude in this circumstance is one that visions possibilities. When I first started reading your blog, I found your thoughts and life perspectives to be focused on faith, love, strength, and kindness. All of these are admirable, and qualities that seem to be diminishing in a world that has an expectation of wealth in happiness, not a driven goal to achieve these very things.
I always love your posts, MsQ. This one touched my heart. Isn’t it amazing that friends and relationships can be formed on these “blogs” of ours! The power of the written word can sometimes supersede a spoken word. Of course getting a hug back is pretty good too.
I am a bit tired today after work, and do not plan on any “internet travels”, but I wanted to make one special stop here, to say hello to my wonderful blogging friend MsQ.
Have a great night – see you soon…
Eric from “Speedcat Hollydale”
Speedy! Yeah, there is a bit of a resemblance there, huh?
Thank you once again for your kinds words! It has been amazing how many relationships I have formed with other bloggers and there are a few out there (and I think they know who they are!!) who I feel I have really connected with (despite my anonymity).
GROUP HUG!! Jill, Urban Thought, Sue, Derek, YOU, Ricardo – I’d love to meet all of you and think that it would be love at first sight if you know what I mean.
Thanks for stopping by before you signed off from ‘web.
Hey Ms.Q!!! It’s been the week of my daughter’s play AND Hanukkah, so I’ve been very absent from the blogging world, but just wanted to stop by & let you know I’ve been thinking of you & wishing you well. So here’s my ((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((hug)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jill
Jill: oooopphh! That was quite a hug! Thanks!
MsQ, good eyes … I’m just a hair over 6 feet 4.
