Resolution

Published by MsQ at 1:09 pm under Life, Personal Growth

There is so much beauty...

I resolve to treat myself with love because that is what I deserve.

I will eat foods that make me feel good.
I exercise because movement is my body’s joyous expression.

I will expect good things to happen to me because that is what I deserve.
I will allow all the good to flow to me and I will accept them with gratitude.

I will look for the good in all things because the more I look, the more I will find.

I will smile more.
I will hug more.
I will love more.

Today is a wonderful day. I expect more will follow.

Do you find that you’re good at keeping your resolutions? In any case, Happy New Years!

Nice. All possible and already in action I’m sure.

Sue: Thanks and a very happy new year to you. (Lifts mug of green tea) A toast to wonderful days filled with love, joy, and an abundance of good things.

    Marsha:
Thanks for your wishes and I wish the same to you.

    Derek Wong:
Always with the questions (a great thing!) I don’t make New Year’s Resolutions – when I resolve to do something I just begin to do it. I may say something like “First of the month…” or “Starting Monday..” but the first day of the year is rarely one for a resolution.

Am am I good at keeping my resolutions? Hmmm. I don’t consciously make them all that much so it’s difficult for me to remember. I do know that I intended to start a strength routine several times before FINALLY making it a regular part of my life back in 2000. Ditto with doing crunches. I finally started doing them regularly maybe 4 years ago.

Overall I would guess that I am good at keeping my resolutions. When I make these types of decisions they don’t seem like mountain-moving or “big” which is probably why I don’t think of them as “resolutions” – which probably makes them easier to keep doing.

    Happy New Years back atcha!

UT: Yes, I have “implemented” much of what I wrote into my life already. It’s amazing how many wonderful people have come into my life lately.

My new year has been off to a great start!

Beth: Thank you! I send you warm wishes for success in your business and a flood of joy!

Excellent resolutions. They sound much like the ones I’m making, these days.

I think, in part, because of your blog.

Thanks for the up-lifting! I absolutely needed it, when I ran into your blog…well, we all always do, but I REALLY needed it, when I found you, and I am grateful.

Christine: I am seriously touched by your comment. Your words literally brought tears to my eyes because you are showing me that one person CAN make a difference and I feel so happy that I have made a positive difference in your life!

Thank you so much for telling me this and inspiring me to “keep on keeping on” as Urban Thought likes to tell me!

Your blog always seems so light-hearted I would never have thought you needed uplifting. You are a beautiful and loving person and you deserve all the good that flows towards you. I read “Ask and it is Given” and it mentions how life is about feeling joy and good things are always flowing toward us but what we do is resist them by telling ourselves that we don’t deserve them.

I’ve been imagining all this GOOD SHTUFF as I like to think of it, piled up behind this closed door, much like an overstuffed closet. It’s a fun image. I then imagine myself opening the door and having all this GOOD SHTUFF practically knocking me down: a wave of cash, loving friends, well-being…

I open the door and think, “Yes, I allow all this to come to me. My allowing this into my life does not deprive others from having their good stuff because there is an unlimited supply of good stuff.”

I also like the concept that we ALLOW the good to flow to us, we don’t have to EARN it.
