Quantity Versus Quality

The Power of Writing It Down

If you haven’t already noticed, I haven’t been writing all that much.

I’ve been very busy these days. Nothing stressful, just a constant stream of things to do, people to see, places to go.

Some of you may not know this but I’m a writer. By this I mean that what I experience, what I see, how I think, listen and live – I want to capture all this with words.

When I write, I’d like to have a reader be with me, immersed.

I’m probably not considered A Writer if the definition is “published” or “received payment for writing.” It bugs me a little. But it would bother me more if I didn’t acknowledge the fact that I must write.

I haven’t been blogging all that much because I struggle with my desire to write well and to live up to my tagline of giving you something to think about.

Granted some of what I have you think about is whacky but I’m not constantly thinking about love and beauty. I mean, really.

I haven’t been writing that much here because I want to write well. I have quite a few post ideas but the topics I want to write about would take some time and emotional energy. The problem is that I need to write and need an outlet.

A few of my friends have been reaping the benefits as my emails have become the long, chatty, descriptive letters of the past. If I don’t write a QMusings, it’s gotta go somewhere!

I haven’t been writing much here because I would rather give you quality over quantity. In so many ways, I write for me – I want to be enthused about it. My sharing my writing with you is to make writing a more enriching experience for all of us.

The past few weeks have not only been busy but I was given an incredible gift. I hope to write about it.

If you want to take any guesses on what the gift is, I’ll give you some hints.

What do you think I find valuable?
What do you think I find beautiful?
What do you think I find important in life?
What is the real heart of what my blog is about?

Until next time….

It’s about people? No? Experience maybe? Shoot… Relationships? Life?

I’m all over the place. Glad you are finding the time to focus on your writing. Even if it isn’t here as long as you doing what your passion is.

I’m currently on a trip. I’ve been using my camera. People say, “oh, nice camera. Are you a professional photographer?” My quick response is always no. I don’t get paid for it so I never found myself being professional. I think writing is a whole lot different though.

    Keep on keeping on.

UT: Good guesses…shows you read my blog!

    Love and relationships….self esteem…

You take great photos and have a wonderful eye for composition. Are you on a trip for business or pleasure?

I’ll have to ponder on how different photography is from writing.

You got a new train set?

…. it must be something that touched your heart. WHAT IS IT??? (we need to know)

Speedy!! You know me well…yes, it did touch my heart! So much so that I had to ponder and wonder at it all. And hold it to myself for a bit. Some things are like that, you want it for yourself but later..it’s too good not to share..

I know!! I know!!!!!! It’s about comparing fruits to breasts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Or musterbating. Or headgear. Sorry…I read the other one first & just COULD NOT HELP MYSELF!!!!! Seriously…well, seriously I wouldn’t attempt a serious response to this on as little sleep as I’ve had – back from vacation (Israel) though & did want to say hi!!!!!

Jill: Welcome back to Houston!! I believe you got your scheduled posts thing to work. I’ve been meaning to leave more comments on your blog but like you, I’ve become not only a sporatic blogger but a sporatic commenter as well.

I’ve also accidentally written a comment in the wrong comment box so it seems all confusing. I’m expecting photos of Israel!

Jill: Very cool! You’re a woman after my own heart! I have many bathroom photos (like when I took the cruise) and haven’t posted them. I’m glad I’m not the only one.

    Glad we’re “chatting” again!
