Eve

Published by MsQ at 6:57 pm under Life

Eve.

The first woman.
The day before tomorrow,
the brink of yesterday.

Eve.

Full of possibilities.
New beginnings.
Anticipation.

A release,
an unfolding
a slipping off,
the moment before it all begins.

The first woman was Eve.
How fitting we use her name for the time before something special.

So here we are on the eve of a new year.

Hopeful.

we look at the new year as brimming with possibilities, a change for the better.
A leaving behind of the bad, the sad, and the stuff that made us mad.

I have no idea who first said, “Today is the first day of the rest of your life.”

It may be the last day of the year but every day is the eve of the rest of your life.

Laugh out loud, live out loud!

Each moment is up to you.

I’m gonna have fun and I hope you do, too.

What a fitting post and a great way to look at the event as it comes every year and as eve can be celebrated every day (liking the eve of the day of the rest of your life).

I’ll be joining you in spirit on the fun. I’m actually going to walk out the door and get it started. I won’t stay out too long though. I’m starting it off right though.

    Wishing you the best…

Happy New Year, Ms. Q! :)

UT: I had fun (dinner, live band), mellow fun and stayed out late and kept it safe (no drinking and driving!)

Thanks for the good wishes. This year I will have more fun and I’ll try to be more in the moment.

Ginger: Happy New Year to you, too!

Looks like you are flying MsQ!!!!

Love the picture … great fit with this post. (and the shoes are SWEET)
Each day, each year, and each hour for that matter is “new”. Our past cannot dictate our possibilities unless we allow them to. I think that is so key. Our thoughts, attitudes and actions are only limited by ourselves. To fly, we must first spread our wings. People often forget they have them

When making my second podcast, the one I made “with you” was somehow combined with “2009″ , and added to our duet (???)
To post my new song “silly as it was” … I saved the file for our duet in my computer and deleted it from my GabCast Feed. I’ll add it back to my post when I figure out just what I am doing wrong :-)

Happy New Year my friend !!!!!!!!!!

Eve was also the name of the beautiful but deadly alien in the horror film species who had sex with men then killed them.

Speedy!! Glad you like the photo – it was an older one (short hair!) but this is the 2nd time those shoes have been featured. I like’s ‘em (the shoes) very fun.

You’re right that people forget they have wings or have no idea they have them. If they are fortunate, someone in their life will gentle remind them, encourage their flight!

Dunno about your podcast and why it didn’t record. Do you have a microphone jack in your new computer? I thought you had a new computer?

Ricardo: “Species” huh? I vaguely recall that series – not much into horrror but I think it was on cable at one time and I saw some scene where she’s ready to breed and the scientists are figuring it out but in the meantime Eve is out there jumping on men, having her way with them yeah, killing them.

Deadly beauty – people are fascinated by this combination.

Interesting on the Eve/eve! and nice touch Ricardo. :-)

Funny Eric/Speedcat – I noticed the shoes too. They’re cute!!

It looks so pretty wherever you are! Hope you had a great New Year’s Eve! I’d say happy New Year’s here but I have to read up one still & figured I’d save that part. :-) Aw what the heck – HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

That is the film, yes. Ben Kingsley was the head scientist or mad scientist who felt a female alien in captivity would be more docile and controllable. We know better than that.

Jill: Boy, I’ve been meaning to reply to your comment since you left it! But work has been really busy. Thanks for the compliment on my shoes! If you’re innerested in a closeup, here they be.

The photo was taken in a nearby botanical garden. It’s lovely!! One of my favorite places to meet friends or..having a first date!

Ricardo: hahahaha! While I didn’t see the entire movie (I saw a little bit of it on cable when I was on the road) I believe the female alien only runs amok when she’s uh, in heat. From my understanding, few females are nice during that time..of the reproductive cycle.

Jill: I wanted to say, “with a bang” but thought that might be misinterpreted. hahahaah!
