Drive By

It was an absolutely glorious Fall day - unending blue skies, a light breeze. Perfect tee-shirt weather.
I was out for a late afternoon run, the shadows just beginning to lengthen, the air starting to cool.
I was running around the lake - 5 undulating miles. An easy run, just enjoying myself and seeing my enjoyment mirrored in others.
As I ran across the road on the way back home, a black Corvette convertible rounded the curve.
The top was down; a young man with sunglasses was behind the wheel, right hand steering into the turn, left hand holding a cell phone to his ear.
His dark hair was perfectly cut, his cheekbones chiseled, he looked the essence of youthful cool.
Then I noticed the bright green tree-shaped air freshener dangling from his rear-view mirror.
SEXY.
