I Like To Walk In the Night

I like to walk in the night.
I like the fog, the echoing footsteps.
I like to walk.
Alone.
In the night.
The shadows foam, the fog alone.
I like to walk in this night, my own, the silence, my own, my heart, my own.
I like to walk in the night.
Note: This post was inspired by Urban Thought’s Free Writing Post. It’s not quite free but as I walked home tonight the fog lay heavy on the streets. Shadow and light. Was I awake or asleep?
Wow… I’m loving the poetry. Glad you felt inspired to share.
UT: I’m glad you loved it! It just came to me and I didn’t try to edit it much!
Very beautiful. I can relate to this a lot, and the poetry was fabulous! I especially like the added ambiance of the photo!
Sue: Interesting coincidence I had seen a photo of fog on your blog and then it was foggy last night! I wish I had taken the photo above but… nope.
I’m glad you liked my poem. Unlike my usual self, I didn’t over think!
