Thankful

Published by MsQ at 1:36 am under Personal Growth

All that I have lost, yet so much remains

I’m thankful…

For the sorrow,
the pain,
the heartache, the loss
the anger (at me),
the mistakes,
the burdens,
the spite (at me),
the tears,
the times of aching hollowness,
the dark, the dark, the dark

Because they made me…

Grow,
Empathize,
Become stronger,
Feel compassion.
Understand.

How could I know the light if I didn’t experience the dark?

How could I know.

Really know.

How could I know
how truly blessed I am.

Yet there is so much more I don’t know.
About the dark.

I’m thankful for that.

That’s why I’m thankful for BEER!!! KIDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Totally kidding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do you hate my guts yet Ms.Q? I’m so kidding.

Really though, very nice idea, nice post, again something to think about, something I wouldn’t have thought of today.

    Jill: BEER IS GOOD.

Well, I may not drink beer (grapes over grain for me) but look how much you appreciate a beer WHEN YOU DON’T HAVE ANY!!

No gut-hating for me! Personally, I am expecting that by the end of the day, there will be more of those guts for me to love!!!

    :-D

LOL… I am thankful for you Ms. Q.
Loving the poem. No hate today. With all the Thankful thoughts there is no room for hate.

Jill is too funny. Love it. Enjoy that beer.

Very insightful post today, Ms. Q. I am also thankful for these things.

UT: I’m thankful for you and the love you’re spreading! You’re right - with all the thankful thoughts, there is no room for hate. Jill is very funny!

Sue: You were in my mind while I wrote it - I know you’ve been going through some rough times. I’m learning that living fully means having some rough times. They have certainly made me appreciate all that I have and the simplest things (the tree outside my window, having my mom around to test my patience!!) give me pleasure.

Ohh … I am thankful for stretch pants. I am a very large man, and regular old Haggar slacks will “burst” wide open after a meal. I think we all know how embarrasing THAT can be. I once bent over to pick up a potato chip at a large company function, and the “Buttocks” seam tore with this excruciatingly loud “RIP!!!!” I apollogized to the elderly women that fainted after the coffee was served.
I look back at times like these, and see a shiney, golden, goody kind of Earth. Rubber is the magic compound in my life, MsQ. Thank God for rubber.
Ifin` I hung my rotund belly out in the glazing sun, would you give it a whack??? Would it resonate with the chi vibrations in my feng shue??

Yes, I feel better already! This is great theapy…. what are the charges?? ($$$$$$) :-)

Hope your not having a desert, they are hot and dry!!!!!!!!

What is that chicken-scribe there at the end. Morris Cat Code???

Speedy! That musta been one heavy potato chip if it made you bust a butt-seam!

Since this is a G-rate blog, I will refrain from commenting about rubber being the magic compound in your life.

Whack your belly? Wow. That is quite the offer. Does this mean I get to cut to the front of the line? I thought I saw the long, winding line of women, cats, and, 12 drummers drumming, 11 pipers piping, 10 lords a-leaping, 9 ladies dancing, 8 maids a milking (they had to get union approval), 7 swans a-swimming, 6 geese a-flapping, 4 calling birds, 3 Peking ducks and dust bunny in a wool coat. Everyone else was busy with Black Friday.

SPEEDY!! Part dos: Your Cat-like gaze was a glazed as ever in spotting Morris the Cat Code: Love. Peace. Harmony.
